Annual Report 2022-23
From our Leadership
This past year has been one of many new “firsts.”
The first year of our current three-year business plan. The first year we won Canada’s Safest Public Sector/Non-Profit Employer. The first time we expanded access to our Mental Health Program. And many more firsts.
Supporting the doctors in our membership, patients, and our team members remains our first order of business. Throughout the 2022-23 fiscal year, we continued our journey to improve:
- Our programs and services for doctors and patients
- Our care for patients
- How we work as a team
We also built on our collaborative work with other Primary Care Networks (PCNs) in the Calgary area with a focus on the Patient’s Medical Home, supported transitions, specialty integration, mental health, and Indigenous health.
Thank you to everyone who played and continues to play a vital role in primary care and our PCN. Whether a doctor in our membership, a patient in our care, or a staff member, your past and future efforts help advance our mission to build and sustain a community of patient-centred medical homes.

In this report
In every decision we make at the Calgary West Central Primary Care Network (CWC PCN), we ask, “What’s best for doctors and their patients?” Throughout the annual report, we’ll share how we worked together to build on our efforts in years past to serve our community.
You will find our major accomplishments of the 2022-23 fiscal year broken into four priority areas:

The Calgary West Central Primary Care Network
The CWC PCN is a non-profit organization committed to a healthier future. Doctors who join our network do so with their patients in mind. We develop innovative health programs and services that family physicians can access for their patients, at no cost.
